County Waterford
"Waterford" is derived from the Viking name "Vadre Fjord". The Vikings founded this town. Among the many famous sons of Waterford was Thomas Francis Meagher, an Irish nationalist who formerly proposed the green, white and gold as the national flag of Ireland.
